Metabolic Type Quiz

Adapted from concepts in Dr. Mark Atkinson’s The Mind-Body Bible.

If I presented you with something sweet, such as chocolate,
A. Eat it and be satisfied?
B. Eat it, but possibly be tempted to ask for more?
C. Eat it, but almost certainly start craving for more?
How often do you need to snack in between meals?
A. Rarely, if ever.
B. Occasionally, it varies.
C. Quite often.
If I gave you just a tall glass of orange or apple juice for breakfast, what effect would it have on you?
A. Good - it would keep me going until lunchtime.
B. OK- I would probably start to get hungry after a few hours.
C. Couldn't cope - I would get very hungry quickly, it would make me feel uneasy, tired and a little jittery.
How easy do you find it to go without food?
A. Easy - I can go for at least six to eight hours quite comfortably.
B. Varies - I would probably get hungry about my usual mealtimes.
C. Couldn't cope - would get really tired, irritable, I'd have to eat something.
How would you describe your appetite?
A. Low, weak or poor.
B. Normal or average.
C. Strong or excessive.
